Deb, do you recognize this? You helped me pick it out at Coldwater. I bought these for my OS Secret Pal. The bag was on the desk and apparently she jumped up and took off with the bag. What do you do in a situation like this? Do I try to untangle this mess? Do I just write the whole thing off? I don't even knit socks for heaven sake!
Thanks for sticking with me and my dog for these past six months through 100 posts. Some of them were even about knitting.

I'd untangle it - and probably wash it, as it's probably full of drool - and learn to make socks! Though the problem with my hellhound is that she bites through wool, creating a tangled mess of short pieces, which I usually find out after I spent an hour untangling.
However, it is pretty yarn, and is probably worth giving a try.
At least your doggy has good taste.
Wooo! Congrats on 100 posts!
If you're patient, I'd try to untangle it.
I'd also invest in a closeable container for my yarn. What is it with that pup of yours!
Wow, 100 posts!
And I'm in the untangle camp. When Fred used to grab and run with yarn, my DH would untangle for hours to save Fred's life ;-D
But he didn't bite through the yarn, just spread it out everywhere. Now he is 150 years old and doesn't do that anymore. :-(

PS. You can use sock yarn for a lot of things besides socks!
Wow and you didn't strangle her with the yarn? Impressive.
Wow - is that a guilty look on her face or what?! Or maybe it's a "Yeah, I got into the yarn. What are you gonna do about it?" look.
Congrats on 100 posts! Hee hee - I'd go buy another skein for your pal and clean up that skein for yourself, for a scarf or something.
I agree with Chris - buy another skein for the pal and untangle that for yourself. I love using sock yarn for baby stuff - hats, booties, a little sweater, etc. If you need help untangling, bring it to knitting night some time and I'll help - I've tangled up so many skeins I'm pretty good at undoing the damage. At least she looks suitable repentant!
I'll personally replace the skein for you in honor of your 100th post! Let me know the color number. And yes, save the yarn because when you learn to make socks, you can make the mini-sock that's on my blog now.
Happy 100th! For what its worth the BHFH looks awfully sorry!
What a great picture! I'd untangle. On a really boring, rainy day when I had absolutely nothing to do. Or maybe I try to convince my son to do it for me for $5 ;-)
