So You Want Some Knitting Content?

Okay, okay, I reviewed my posts over the last month and noticed that for a knitting blog, there has been relatively little talk of knitting. I have been knitting. I have "second everything" syndrome. It's not just for socks anymore.

I'm still working on this:

Not a great picture, but it's 6 a.m. I haven't had enough caffeine yet. I finished the collar and button band. As it is 2x2 rib it's gonna take some serious blocking, but I really like the short row "collar" around the neck. The sleeve is taking forever. I keep trying it on and it doesn't seem to get any longer so I magic loop some more and try it on again. How am I going to stand a second sleeve? I'm using my new Knit Picks options needle set I received for my birthday from the boys and I really like it.

Of course there is Christmas knitting. One mary jane ballet slipper for my niece. I am using Galway and a Fiber Trends pattern. But now I have to make another one. They are quick though.

I've also been finishing something for Kaye, my Handmade Gift Swap partner. I have to get stuff in the mail to her today, but I can show you what I sent after she receives it. Kaye, I'm warning you right now there is more gift stuff than handmade in the package. I've been a slow knitter lately.

So there it is. My knitting. I'm still doing it but with work and Thanksgiving and my house conspiring to make me nuts, I haven't been all that prolific with the FOs lately.

Wow! They're ballet slippers, and they're pink... little girl heaven!

And I love the colours on the jacket/cardigan. (Sorry, lazy lurker here - not doing my research on past posts...)

I made that sweater a while back and the collar/button band drove me absolutely CRAZY! don't get me wrong - I loved the short row collar too; it was the picking up of stitches. The first time, I picked up how many the pattern says, FROG, pick up more, FROG, pick up even more! Then it still required some heavy blocking! But I do love the finished sweater. Your's is looking lovely.

As much as we try to get some knitting in our lives, life gets in the way! I like reading your blog even when it's not all knitting! It's a good thing I'm not doing any holiday knitting this year. I'd have to wrap up some I.O.U's!

LOL - if I had to have knitting content everytime I posted, I'd be outta the blogging totally! Your projects look great - sending you perseverance.

Nice colors in the cardigan. There's no law that you have to have knitting content every time.

Well you are ahead of me Kate....
I don't have your package in the mail yet...I hope that is ok?
Hubby has been gone since tuesday and what with me being a master procrastinator, I haven't yet finished what I want to make for you. I'm shooting for it to be in the mail by Tuesday. I hope it then gets to you on time.
Don't worry about the handmade content. Anything gifty will be stupendous :)
I haven't finished any of the knitting projects that I have on the kneedles. And I've started something new!

Oh, you are miles and miles ahead of me on the knitting.

I do like the sweater! And the ballet slippers? To die for! I'm perusing slipper patterns right now and that might be something interesting in grown up Sheepie size...
